Course locations and access

Physical Access
The WEA is committed to providing learning out in the community. Courses are organised in a variety of venues such as community halls, arts centres, libraries etc. We endeavour to ensure that all venues are accessible to people with varying levels of physical ability. However, as courses are organised often to suit the needs of remote communities, accessibility cannot always be guaranteed.

Care and Transport Costs
As well as physical access the WEA is keen to provide support to people with caring responsibilities and on certain courses offers assistance with care costs to enable people to attend programmes. Our ability to offer this assistance depends on the funding we receive, so if you are interested in a specific course it is best to contact the relevant staff member before you attend. Similarly transport can be a barrier that stops people attending a course. Again on certain programmes assistance can be offered with transport costs.
